Two dead in Warwickshire crash

Two adults die in collision involving a school bus and two cars.

Two adults have been confirmed dead after a collision involving two cars and a school bus in Warwickshire.

It happened on the A4177 between Hatton and Hatton Park on Tuesday afternoon

Twenty children suffered minor injuries - one was seriously injured. The bus was carrying pupils from Aylesford and Myton Schools.

Speaking from the scene, Chief Inspector Lucy Sewell, said: "This is a serious collision in which two people have sadly lost their lives and a number of young people have been injured. We are committed to protecting people on the roads in Warwickshire and we will be thoroughly investigating the scene of this collision to try to find out the circumstances surrounding how it occurred.

"At this time our thoughts are with the families of those who have lost their lives and we will be ensuring they receive the full support of our family liaison officers."

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the road traffic collision and anyone with any information is asked to contact PC David Bull on 01926 415000.
