Rise in domestic abuse cases expected in Warwickshire.
Wednesday, December 2nd 2009 00:00
Police say they're expecting reported cases of domestic abuse to go up in Warwickshire over Christmas and New Year.
Warwickshire Police are warning they expect to see a rise in the number of reported domestic abuse incidents during December and January.
Officers think cases could rise by a third over the Christmas period. They already receive 600 reported cases a month.
They want us to report anyone we suspect of being involved in carrying out abuse or anyone we think may be at risk.
Help and information is available from a variety of agencies in Warwickshire, for perpetrators of domestic abuse, victims and the young people whose lives are affected.
